This week Fantastic Energy won the prize for the Applied Game of the Year 2020 in South-West Finland!! On top of that our awesome team working on the game won the prize for the Best Team 2020 in South-West Finland! We feel very appreciated and thankful! Looking forward to the challenges of next year and releasing the game in full. But more than anything, we truly appreciate and value everyone in our team working hard to make this possible. So, thank you to every Punnu team member! It’s true what they say, teamwork makes the dream work.
Back in business and ready to take the project forward on a bigger scale.
I’ve slowly moved back to Fantastic Energy after working on another project. I have worked on improving the camera in the base and structuring the whole base concept on separate scenes to make it more “layered” as we will have multiple floors.
Also taken a step forward with the web application side of Fantastic Energy and next up on my worklist is to start developing a dynamic dashboard system, leaderboards and other cool stuff for our community of players and partners. We will have a meeting with Olli next week where we move everything forward so looking good and things are progressing!
Next week we will announce the release date of our next major update.

This week, I have completed four tasks.
I added the feedback text for when you deal damage to the monster during a fight. I began structuring the skill tree, beginning with the baseline structure and mechanics. We will continue developing this in the future. I have also done the same with the weapons, creating the baseline structure and adding a few weapons to the game. I also fixed a problem with the loading screen where a player would not have any feedback after pressing a button.
Busy on another project!
I made a snowman! This one was fun to make, and I had fun with different hand locations… or horns. The final one is still with arms, but I don’t see why we can’t also use the horn variant in some animations… Maybe, what do you think?
This week I made two different Arcade Cabinets, with many color variations. I also added all of my past assets to the main Fantastic Energy project, so sooner or later they will be usable in the game… Here is an image of one of the arcades!
Thanks for reading and cya next week!
