Game Design

Design regarding Fantastic Energy has been concentrating mostly on finding and fixing bugs this week. We do have something up our sleeve for next week though… ;)


Code

Tipi

I have been fixing bugs and doing some general polishing for our upcoming update. I am actually in the progress of upgrading all our main components: The base (With the model that Joonas is preparing, using a WIP at the moment.) is going to be completely new in the upcoming update. Lots of work there. One big thing… You are finally going to get those cute little monsters living there! <3


Also fixes on the map, just some basic UI scaling, height of different things etc. And yep, the store is coming online in the next update!


The monster fight will go through some serious makeover in the next update as well, so I'm working as hard as I can to make it possible! All the bugs are now gone from there. :D


Graphics

Noora

I finished the UI for the carbon footprint questionnaire. I also started to work on the new environment for the terminal. We want to keep the terminal as a separate scene but it should still be easy and quick to use, we’ll see how that turns out. Hopefully I have something more detailed to show next week. Here’s some more pictures of the questionnaire.


Joviaal

I've been fixing all kinds of stuff this week. If you look at the base, it looks almost the same as last week's, BUT under the colorful walls, there is much that I have done. Specifically I focused on base evolution, and that it works smoothly from a small starting base to the full-sized house, no matter what order the players build the rooms. Only graphic-side tho ;P

Heini

Working more on old monsters this week! So the first time I worked with them I made an idle and attack / shoot animation for them. Now I give them 5 more animations - can you guess what type of animations they are? I can give you a hint on one of them; the monsters are pretty stationary at the moment, but being the active, happy monsters that they are, they’d probably want to, hmm, move a little bit around as well ;D.
